Juveniles
for Jesus was founded by Cindy Lane in 2002. Cindy was originally an inner-city
paramedic in Cleveland. She is also a mother of three, and a self-described
"woman with no extraordinary gifts or talents, just a hunger to be
used by God."
Cindy
felt God's call to "go and love those that no one else would love".
This was the start of a total life change, and the beginning of a tremendous
ministry.
From
that special day, the whisper of a mighty vision was spoken. JFJ Ministries
was created, and an outreach of hope, healing and restoration
was underway.
What is JFJ?
JFJ is the abbreviation for Juveniles for Jesus. We are a charity
based, primarily volunteer-run, 501(C)3 nonprofit organization. JFJ Ministries,
Inc. was incorporated under the laws of the State of Florida on November
21, 2002. A six member Board of Directors oversees the by-laws set forth
upon incorporation of JFJ Ministries, Inc.
JFJ's
Vision
JFJ's carefully planned and implemented programs fuel the vision of "lighting
the way to hope, healing and restoration" for incarcerated youth.
Our mission "Reflecting the light of Christ Jesus to every juvenile
offender" is the foundation from which the overall ministry operates
and implements from.
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power
of the weak. Even youth grow tired and weary, and young men stumble
and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not grow faint."
Isaiah 40:29-31 |
JFJ's
Strategic Focus
It is important to strike a balance between when and what programs are
offered to incarcerated youth. While facilities and other organizations
address some of these needs, no other local nonprofit volunteer driven
institution provides the umbrella for coordination of programs, volunteer
training, leadership and organizational communication structure.

I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn
them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so
that they may receive forgiveness of sin and a place among those who
are sanctified by faith in me." Acts 26:16-18 |
