J.F.J.
Ministries is built on 3 primary core programs. All are Christian-based,
volunteer-driven, and connected with church and community. These
carefully planned and implemented core programs fuel the vision
of "Lighting the way to hope, healing and restoration through
Christ Jesus" for every incarcerated youth.

The Way
is a group of programs that are offered on facility grounds to incarcerated
youth. All outreach programs are run by local community church volunteers
who join and are then trained under the JFJ Ministry structure.
The Way includes
a variety of programs, such as:
|
| |
-
Weekly Bible study
- Monthly church service and meal
- Life skills (GED, cooking, computers, etc.)
- Pen pal and mentoring programs
- Recreational (Basketball, Crafts, Gardening, Choir, etc.) |
The Anchor
of Hope home program is under research & development.
Our goal is to one day offer Christian run short term housing.
The purpose
of this program will be to provide released youth a safe transition
back to the world.

The
Promise program is under development to become an off- site
center offered to incarcerated youth upon their release. The Promise
is an extension of the Way program offered during the juveniles'
incarceration period.
